Mobilizing a 750 HP rig to a remote drilling site in Jambi was one of CHAS’s most challenging projects this year. The 340-kilometer route crossed district roads, steep inclines, and narrow bridges, demanding thorough planning from the entire team.
Challenges in the Field
Before mobilization began, the engineering team conducted a two-week route survey to map critical points: road gradients, bridge load capacity, and rest areas for drivers.
- Route survey & bridge load capacity analysis before execution
- Use of 4 lowbed trailer trucks according to rig component weight
- Light 4×4 escort vehicles for front-line route checks
- Daily coordination with the client and local authorities
“The key to successful heavy mobilization is not just big equipment, but precise route planning and disciplined team communication.” — Operation Manager, PT Cipta Hasil Sugiarto
Team & Fleet Coordination
The mobilization was completed in five days without incident. Every unit movement was documented through daily reports, complete with load condition photos and route checkpoints.
